Annual Fund Drive

Our largest effort of the year

Community members, alumni, and other friends of education can support the Foundation by making an annual contribution through the Annual Fund Drive.

Contributions can be designated for scholarships, Creative Teaching Grants, The Kids' Weekend Backpack Program, or much-needed technology. Contributions that are not designated are used by the Foundation where needed. Contributions are tax-deductible.

EITC

Putting tax dollars to a good cause

The Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) allows you to earmark your business's tax dollars to contribute to the GTSF at no extra charge. A special thanks to NexTier Bank, Baglier Buick GMC Mazda, and Waste Management for contributing in 2021-22!

FAB Sponsorship

Supporting the arts

The FAB Showcase (Fine Arts and Beyond) has become an annual event in the spring of each year to present the artistic talent of students, alumni, and friends of the Butler Area School District.

Student artwork and donated artwork from local professional artists are displayed and sold through a silent auction. Each school in our district and several local businesses donate gift baskets for our raffle. A silent auction is also held with items donated by local businesses and community members. All proceeds benefit the students of the Butler Area School District.

Live music from student groups and local professional musicians help to make for an enjoyable evening.

Corporate sponsors help to offset any event costs. Corporate sponsorships, donated items, and monetary contributions are tax-deductible. We hope to see you at FAB this April!

Perfect for teachers

Employees of the Butler Area School District can make payroll deduction or cash contributions to the Foundation designated for student scholarships. Information on how to join will be distributed in the spring for the upcoming school year. Contributions are tax-deductible.

Memorial Tribute

Remembering those who have taught

You can make a gift to the Foundation in honor or memory of a loved one or someone significant in your life. This can be a one-time contribution or can be set up as an annual named scholarship or Creative Teaching Grant honoring the person of your choice. If you wish, the GTSF will send a personalized card to the person or the family of the person you wish to honor. Your name and the amount of the gift can be withheld at your request. Memorial Tribute contributions are tax-deductible.

To create a tribute or scholarship, please contact Ellen at ellen_scott@basdk12.org or 724.214.3104.
